About IIT Hyderabad

IIT Hyderabad (IITH) is a public technical research university located in Kandi Village on the outskirts of Sangareddy in Telangana, India. Established in 2008, IIT Hyderabad is recognized as an Institute of National Importance. What is a SURE Internship?

The SURE Internship, or Summer Undergraduate Research Exposure program, allows undergraduate students from outside IIT Hyderabad to engage in cutting-edge research projects with renowned faculty. Eligibility Criteria

ONLY NON-IIT HYDERABAD STUDENTS with the following eligibility criteria:

Should be a first-year MSc (Maths/Physics/Chemistry/Biology) OR MA first Year OR the 2nd/3rd Year B.Tech./B.Des.(All branches) OR the 3rd/4th Year Integrated B.Tech.-M.Tech. program.
Applicants should rank in the top 20% based on CGPA/% score in all previous years in their discipline in the College/Institution/University, certified by the Head of the Institute/Principal at the time of application.
The applicant should be a full-time/regular student at the time of application and throughout the internship.
The applicant should be able to work full time (minimum one month) for the Internship. Part-time/online internship is not allowed.(IIT Hyderabad Internship 2024 Stipend Up to Rs. 15k Apply by March 10)

Several Intakes

Total 200 interns (50 exclusively for female students).

Benefits

Hostel accommodation is provided in IITH student hostels.

Duration

1-2 months between May and July (Tentative 15.05.2024 to 14.07.2024).

Stipend

Rs. 15,000 per intern for 2 months.
Rs. 7,500 per month per intern & Rs. 10,000 for one-and-a-half months per intern.

Application Submission

After the deadline, no applications shall be accepted.
Applications must be submitted through the web portal only.
Offline applications and applications through emails will not be accepted.

Selection Procedure

The selection process involves a preliminary screening of applications followed by an interview (online mode) with department/mentor faculty at the option of the concerned Department.

Notification of Selection

Selected candidates will be informed via email.
The final list of selected interns will be displayed on the website (SRC Office webpage under News/Announcement section).

Communication

Unsuccessful candidates will not receive individual communication.

Decision

The decision of the IIT Hyderabad authorities regarding the selection of candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria is final.
